Young Entrepreneur Prize
2021, Porto, Portugal
Elected to apply €20.000 from European Young Entrepreneur Program into a new business model. Founded, raised and managed a Wind Sports School, SIDE-OFF, in Porto, from the legal process of brand and concept creation, to the partnership development as well as assuring legal, accountability, marketing and human resources actions. Using exclusively equipment from Neilpryde Group.


Product Management, IT
2020, Lisbon, Portugal
Under Surf’n’Code consultancy model, I collaborated with IziRepair in the kick-off of a new concept for the Portuguese Market. An online car maintenance company. During this period, I helped to create a Freemium model with 2 paid versions. Before the product was released, I went through the various phases until reaching a Minimum Valuable Product.
ITIC, China – Spokesman
2019, Quingdao – China
During 7th and 8th May, 2019, the Forum “Matchmaking Dialogue for Green Technology & Industrial Innovation Cooperation (China-Sweden) took place. I was responsible for designing the Company’s corporative presentation. The objective o the presentation was to reveal the products and company’s actions, as network with potential investors and suppliers. In the end of the presentation, I established contact with the member of a Chinese Company in the same sector of activity – Solar Energy, who showed interest to know more about MG’s products. Nowadays both companies are in contact pursuing a beneffic partnership to both intervinnients.


PV-T Prototyping
2019, Gavle – Sweden
Together with Diogo Cabral, PhD Student and Researcher at HiG Högskolan i Gävle, I collaborated in the development and physical construction of a Photovoltaic Compound Parabolic Concentrator [CPC-PV]. The prototype will support Diogo’s research work once it will be used for outdoor physical simulations. The aim was to understand the performance and efficiency of the device according to the offset variation between the receiver and the reflector. Additionally, the creation of Gable holes will also provide useful content to access the influence of passive cooling in the product’s output.
Rendering
2019, Gavle, Sweden
Improving performance and reduce the costs of thermal and electric energy production are two key factors of the company’s core activity. The objective is to help communities to achieve a sustainable future, chasing a Social, Industrial, Innovative and Global Impact. For internal tests, the company created physical prototypes. To promote the product and company’s name, I was responsible for the 3D Modelling and Rendering of the Colector’s version described above.


Scientific Paper Publication
2019, Gavle – Sweden
Paper submitted and accepted by the conference Solar World Congress, Santiago, Chile. Integrated in the Team, I participated in the following stages of the paper creation: Data collection, Theoretical Simulations, 3D Modelling of components and full assembled collector.
Paper presented by João Gomes, Chairman of the Board of MG Sustainable Engineering and Diogo Cabral, PhD Student and Researcher at HiG Högskolan i Gävle.
IKEA – Insert Design
2016, Porto – Portugal
In 2016, Amorim Cork Composites, began a new partnership with IKEA of Sweden to create a new product, a drawer Knob with the name VINNASET. It was intended to produce 400 000 units per year to be sold worldwide. With the product release, IKEA introduces a new item in the Natural Fibers product portfolio. For the piece to fulfill the requirements of a drawer, a metalic insert with a internal thread was developed contributing for the Knob’s mechanical resistance and easiness of assembly.


Knoll – Tiles
2016, Porto – Portugal
Lars Beller is a Norwegian Designer who privileges the association between function and materials nature, during his furniture, interior design and lighting designs. In 2016, the designer created a collection of wall tiles, in agglomerated cork for the North American company, world’s leader in office furniture – Knoll.
I supported the development and industrialization stages. I followed the Author, Customer and Suppliers, assuring, in the technical domain, the compatibility between the compression moulding process, density tuning to allow the “Click” fitting and geometry upgrades to reduce the rejection rate and packaging solutions.
3D Modeling
2010, Porto – Portugal
Work developed for the subject Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing of the Mechanical Engineering Masters in the Faculty of Engineering of the university. Besides the subject educational target, the team invested in the development of their competences at a superior level. It was created a complete Formula 1 car. To build the prototype, each piece was designed from 2D sketches and extruded to a 3D solid. Each piece represents the real geometry and dimensions of the real model.
